Quien pensó que habían acabado las sorpresas en la Copa del Mundo Qatar 2022 sencillamente se equivocó. De lo anterior se encargó un equipo del grupo C (Australia) que llega a octavos de final de un campeonato mundial por primera vez en su historia, tras derrotar y dejar fuera de esa instancia a uno de los favoritos de ese grupo (Dinamarca).

Como ha ocurrido en este evento todos los partidos han sido importantes, sin embargo, en el día de hoy el partido estrella estaba en el Grupo D, donde los dos partidos definían posiciones, pero el que se llevaba la mayoría de los reflectores era el que enfrentaba a Argentina contra Polonia.

Una de las selecciones favoritas para ganar la Copa del Mundo comenzó su andar de manera negativa y generando varios de los titulares más pesimistas de la historia. En una señal de lo que sería esta Copa del Mundo Arabia Saudita sorprendió a la Albiceleste y la venció dos goles por uno. Muchos criterios se generaron en contra de la selección y, aunque ya habían tenido un inicio similar en una competición de este tipo y llegaron a la final, muchos pensaron que no pasarían de la Fase de Grupos porque le restaban los dos equipos más difíciles del grupo y una derrota los apartaría del mundial.

Algo contrario pensaban Scalonni y sus jugadores, para los que los dos encuentros significaban dos finales y sabían que podían solventar la situación y cumplir el objetivo primario de pasar a la siguiente fase, como primeros de grupo.

En el encuentro siguiente se enfrentaron a la selección mexicana y lograron vencerla dos goles por cero. Dos aspectos importantes: lograron la victoria y no le marcaron goles,algo muy importante porque se pusieron en zona de clasificación y ya tenían balance positivo en cuanto al número de goles anotados y recibidos.

El equipo europeo inició su andar por esta copa con un empate sin goles ante los mexicanos. Un resultado que, si no los favorecía mucho, al menos les daba un punto y con una victoria en uno de los dos partidos llegarían a 4 puntos una puntuación que, como estaba el grupo podía garantizarle su estancia en octavos de final, algo que no conseguían, desde 1986. Casualmente, en ese mundial Argentina ganó la Copa del Mundo.

El próximo encuentro Polonia lo solventó sin mayores complicaciones y venció a Arabia Saudita por dos goles a cero. Esto fue muy positivo porque además de la victoria, pasaban a encabezar el grupo y mantenían su portería en cero y un balance positivo de +2, en cuanto a goles anotados y recibidos.

Por otra parte, Arabia Saudita y México tenían posibilidades de avanzar, pues, Arabia podía llegar a 6 puntos en caso de victoria ante México o a 4 si lograba empatar. Por su parte México lo tenía más complicado porque debía ganar y hacerlo por una diferencia de goles de al menos 3 goles y esperar que Polonia perdiera por esa diferencia ante Argentina.

Además de la importancia y lo que definía este partido había otro ingrediente no menos importante: Se enfrentaban dos de los mejores jugadores del fútbol mundial que por coincidencia tuvieron un diferendo, por la no entrega del Balón de Oro del año pasado a Lewandoski, cuando muchos esperaban que le fuera entregado el premio al polaco, luego de no hacerse la premiación el año anterior.
Por tal razón, este podía ser un
partido entre los dos líderes y capitanes de este encuentro y se llevaría el titular de: Encuentro de titanes.

Enfrentamientos históricos en Copas del Mundo.

Estos equipos se han enfrentado en dos ocasiones en copas del mundo y el resultado refleja una victoria por bando. En el mundial de Alemania en 1974 ganaron los europeos por tres goles por dos y cuatro años más tarde, en el mundial de Argentina 1978 vencieron los albicelestes por dos goles a cero, por lo que este partido debe definir quien se pone al frente de los enfrentamientos particulares.

Los técnicos mandaron al terreno a las alineaciones que entendían podían cumplir con la estrategia diseñada y los objetivos del momento.

Scalonni mandó una alineación ofensiva sabiendo que la mejor defensa es el ataque que para ganar el partido hay que anotar goles y que al hacerlo no dependerá de nadie sino de ellos el lograr pasar a octavos de final. Con esas premisas, esta fue la alineación que presentó el técnico argentino:

Primer tiempo

Desde el primer minuto, el encuentro fue un solo de Argentina o un monólogo albiceleste en el que Argentina atacaba y Polonia se defendía. En este tiempo Argentina dominó a placer y tuvo todas las oportunidades de cara al gol. Si en este tiempo Argentina no anotó, al menos dos goles se lo deben a su portero Szczesny que realizó siete paradas, entre ellas un penalti a Leo Messi.

Para que se tenga una idea del dominio argentino y el planteamiento polaco si Argentina perdía el balón no corría ningún peligro porque los europeos no podían salir a la contra, pues todos estaban defendiendo, incluso, muchas veces el propio Lewandoski estaba en el área defensiva de su equipo. El primer tiempo concluyó 0 a 0, pero era cuestión de tiempo que esta situación cambiara.

El segundo tiempo inició con la misma presión argentina, en busca del gol que le permitiera ponerse delante del encuentro y del grupo. Muchos en la grada de los albicelestes pensaban que ocurriría lo mismo del primer tiempo con la mala fortuna de cara al gol, pero todo se resolvió en un minuto: Di María esperó que pasese Molina y Mac Allister llegó por el centro del área para poner la pelota al final de las redes polacas.

Después del 1-0, se acrecentó el dominio albiceleste, el monólogo se repetía una y otra vez: Argentina con la posesión e intentando ampliar el marcador y Polonia metida en su área defendiendo y evitando que le cayera el segundo gol. De esta forma y con tanta variedad en el ataque era imposible que no llegara el segundo gol y de ello se encargó, Julián Álvarez, una de las modificaciones de Scalonni, en el 11 titular de hoy.

Sin nada que ofrecer, Polonia se aferró a que no le cayera un tercer gol ni que México le anotara un tercer gol a Arabia Saudita, sino le dirán adiós al mundial.

Al final México ganó, pero el número de goles no le dio y aunque terminó con 4 puntos igual que Polonia tuvo que decir adiós a la Copa del Mundo porque los europeos tuvieron mejor gol average que ellos.

Argentina cumplió la primera tarea: estar en octavos de final y como primero del grupo, lo que le evita tener que enfrentar a Francia. El sábado la albiceleste se enfrentará a Australia, la sorpresa del Grupo C y Polonia tendrá que enfrentarse a la poderosa Francia.

Por lo visto hasta aquí el autor considera y da como favoritos a Argentina sobre Australia y a Francia ante Polonia.
Argentina, salvo los primeros 135 minutos del torneo los demás los ha jugado bien y si sus delanteros afinan su puntería de seguro seguirán avanzando hasta las fases finales de esta copa del mundo.

En el encuentro entre Polonia y Francia los actuales campeones son los favoritos. Lo mostrado por Polonia no puede hacerle daño a una selección que la domina en todos los aspectos del juego y los esquemas defensivos planteados por su técnico no podrán parar el poderoso ataque del equipo francés liderado por uno de los tres mejores futbolistas de la actualidad: Kylian Mbappé.

En otros resultados del día de hoy Túnez venció a una selección alternativa de Francia, con marcador de 1 gol por 0; mientras Australia daba la sorpresa y derrotaba a Dinamarca por ese mismo marcador, para colarse en octavos, como segundos de grupo y verse las caras, con la Argentina de Messi y compañía.

Mi resumen.

Concluyó la Fase de Grupos de los apartados C y D y en ambos casos ganaron los grupos dos de los aspirantes más serios a coronarse en esta copa mundial. Al ganar su juego de hoy Argentina se reivindicó con su juego y su público y de paso ganó el primer lugar de su grupo, lo que le garantizó un enfrentamiento menos complicado en octavos de final, al tener que enfrentar a Australia y no a Francia.

Por su parte, Polonia tendrá que enfrentar a la selección más fuerte de esta llave y que a pesar de haber perdido a varios de sus regulares y/o pesos pesados de la selección ha mantenido una selección potente a la que su director le sabe sacar el extra y que varía los esquemas de juego, sobre la base del rival de turno. Si Polonia quiere asustar a Francia tendrá que variar su sistema de juego.

Argentina, Francia, Polonia y Australia ya están en octavos de finales. Sus aficiones y los que los siguen en todo el planeta están de fiesta. Eso es lo que produce el deporte, como expresión del esfuerzo colectivo en pos de un resultado. Lo que estamos viviendo en esta copa del mundo es el ejemplo vivo de para qué sirve el deporte y en especial el fútbol. First half

The Group Phase of sections C and D concluded and in both cases the groups were won by two of the most serious contenders to be crowned in this World Cup. By winning today's game, Argentina vindicated itself with its game and its fans and also won first place in its group, which guaranteed it a less complicated match in the round of 16, as it will have to face Australia instead of France.
