I just finished a 10.018km running that lasted about 0hh:49mm:58ss !

As usual, plenty of people going for a run at 20:00 this evening, however, the amount of people who actual run is very little compared to the past days. The majority of them were walking in couples and sometimes in triplets which is a shame because they are not respecting the rules against covid19 regarding spacing between people.
Seems they have discovered that running is not an "easy business" if you don't put some "structure" in the plan and now they prefer to talk than to jog...

Today I have inserted some intensity...

I did a Fartlek, a mix of fast and slow pace intervals, in particular, a "pyramidal Fartlek":

  • 2Km of warm-up jog
  • 1' Fast + 1' Slow
  • 2' Fast + 1' Slow
  • 3' Fast + 1' Slow
  • 4' Fast + 1' Slow
  • 3' Fast + 1' Slow
  • 2' Fast + 1' Slow
  • 1' Fast + 1' Slow
  • 2km of coold-down jog

The fast intervals have been run around 4'/km , by feelings.
The slow intervals around 5'30"/km

It has been hard if you ask me, a little bit too early to put some quality on my workouts but I needed to test myself, just to see in which point I am...

Tomorrow I plan for a short recovery run, a soft one. I have to increase the "volume" without overloading my punished legs, heart and lungs.

Keep on running

Sorry, you don't have enough staked BEER in your account. You need 24 BEER in your virtual fridge to give some of your BEER to others. To view or trade BEER go to hive-engine.com

Good going mate. Intervals seem to be where it's at for building speed. It's tempting to run with others, but the time is not right yet.
