Zenyattà Mondatta Anniversary
On October 3rd 1980, the third studio album by the band The Police was released. Its title was "Zenyattà Mondatta" which actually meant nothing; they were, as in the titles of their first two albums, words invented from other words in order to attract attention.
This album contains 11 songs that are still a mixture of various musical styles such as rock, punk, funk, reggae and ska, which is something usual for the band. The virtuosity of Stewart Copeland, for me one of the best drummers in the history of rock, stands out.
"Zenyattà Mondatta" was once again a great success with both critics and sales.
