Rising Anniversary- My Actifit Report Card: May 17 2023

On 17 May 1976, the British band Rainbow released their album Rising.

After his abrupt departure from Deep Purple, guitarist Richie Blackmore decides to create the band Rainbow and for this he recruits a fantastic band. With the incredible Ronnie James Dio on vocals and the fantastic Cozy Powell on drums, Rainbow put together one of the best line-ups in rock history.

If their debut album was of a very high level, their second album Rising is an absolute masterpiece, a perfect and demolishing work that combines a creative capacity and an instrumental and melodic technique rarely seen until now.

We can say that Rising represents a turning point in the history of music and will be a reference album for later generations of musicians. An album to listen to over and over again and let yourself be carried away by the spell of its magic.
