Obafemi Martins Celebrates His 35th Birthday Today
One time Super Eagles time scoring machine, Obafemi Martins celebrates 35 years of age today. Obafemi Martins was born on 28 October 1984. He's one of the fastest strikers Nigeria has ever had. He's popularly known for his speed and acrobatic jubilation during a goal. He came as the successor for Julius Aghaghowa when Super Eagles needed a replacement.
Obafemi started his football career at a very young age. At age 16 he was already playing for top-division clubs in Europe . He played for the likes of Wolfsburg, Birmingham City, Inter Milan, Newcastle and a few other European clubs.
Martins currently plays for Shanghai Greenland Shenhua F.C where he probably will retire his football career. He's married to Ghanian Italian, Abigail Barwuah, a sister to fellow footballer, Mario Balotelli, and they have one child name Kendrick

He was nicknamed "Oba Goal" for a reason! and its a sad thing, eagles are yet to produce one of such quality and eye for goal. But all we can do at this point is to hope on the upcoming stars like Chukwueze, Osimhen, Iwobi, Ndidi et al. to take Nigeria back to her days of glory!!!
