Zabit Magimedsharipov is officially retiring from competitive MMA. Zabit is a featherweight competitor in the UFC with a significant following.

Zabit is undefeated in the UFC and has won 14 bouts in a row in MMA. He hasn't been active since 2019, and missed a fight that was scheduled for 2020. Russian born Zabit is 6 foot 1 inch and 145 pounds with a great UFC record.

I only got to see Zabit fight a handful of times, but like many featherweight fighters, he focused on the technicals of the trade. Zabit was a lithe and quick fighter who was entertaining to watch.

Featherweight fighters are my favorite to watch. The dedication to craft is essential when you are in this weight class. Although he hasn't fought since 2019, I will miss Zabit, and as a featherweight myself I appreciate his style.
