You're most welcome @tydynrain. Well, I guess the rain is necessary for the green and lush vegetation in Hawaii. !BBH !CTP 🌟🙏😊💚🌴🌅🌴🌄 I hope you don't get too cold in the rain.

Indeed, it is necessary, especially considering that the soil dries out extremely quickly because of the porous lava below, so if we don't get rain for a few days, the plants are not happy! Thanks much, Barb! I always have a blanket if it gets too chilly! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I bet the porous lava may have some advantages? I am not sure @tydynrain I will look it up. I'm so glad you have a blanket! 🌟🙏😊💚🌴🌅🌴🌄 !BBH !CTP
Ah, yes, I did find advantages @tydynrain planting in porous lava.

Better water drainage and aeration to plant root systems due Hawaii’s unique media porosity;

Minimal media compaction as cinder does not break down;
Slower decomposition of organic material, leading to a more stable media that is less prone to soil-based insects;
Less fungus, gnats, and disease.
