FIRM STATEMENT FROM THE GUNNERS AT THE EMIRATES.

I honestly do not know how I would feel if a certain team avoids me of a win against them in 5 solid years . I seriously hate to be a Chelsea fan right now to be quite honest. On the other hand I actually do not pity them because they are just effortlessly loud . Their recent "world club champions" status/mantra makes me laugh every time and anytime they bring it up during football bants. Their North London rivals ,the Gunners however seem to be starving their distractions and feeding their focus . The Epl title is on the line for the Gunners so it's quite obvious they ain't leaving no stone unturned and Chelsea just happen to be one of those stones, nothing personal.

Going into the game , I knew we weren't certainly going to lose but I didn't want a draw either. Omoh! It would have been so devastating. A win at the Emirates would only be the appropriate gift for the Arsenal fans on a early new month kick off. So glad the boys delivered. Both goals FROM corner kicks notoriously.

Arsenal secured a gritty 2-1 win over 10-man Chelsea at the Emirates, with William Saliba heading in first from a comer and Jurriën Timber restoring the lead after halftime marking Arsenal's league high 16th set-piece goal this season.

Chelsea equalized thanks to Piero Hincapié's own goal but saw Pedro Neto sent off for a second yellow, their seventh red card under Liam Rosenior this campaign.

David Raya's heroics sealed the points despite Chelsea's dominating possession late in the second half , extending Arsenal's unbeaten run against them to 12 games and boosting their lead to five points with nine matches left.

Right now the title race no doubt intensifies. Both Arsenal and City came out with 3 points despite being involved in extremely tight games. The standard is so high.

Arsenal need individuals to step up in the run-in.
Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Saka, and Raya did that yesterday.Hincapié too, outside of his own-goal.
They all led by example with brave and high quality actions.

However, Arsenal need to be less emotional in the last minutes.

Chelsea had 10 men, and Arsenal controlled the game up until the 86th minute or so, but then Raya was indecisive when sweeping.

No problem, that can happen, but then it was chaos for the next 10 mins… They couldn't just get their feet on the ball any longer , absolutely terrifying!. This seems to be a reoccurring problem for the Arsenal over the last run of games. They always seem to just switch off when it's at the eleventh hour. It's so hard to explain and appalling.

It's nine games remaining for the Gunners to conquer. Can they hold on to the top spot till the May with City lurking at the corner ?
