My Actifit Report Card: January 9 2022

My weekend ended on a rather mediocre note as my legs felt tired and listless this morning but at least I was able to put in some ok mileage.
Started off on an easy run but my metrics were trending lower today and my body felt the same.

I ran the flat loop around to the entry onto the dirt trails around the gravel pit where I decided to quit my run and continue on at a walking pace. I just didn't feel that great and it was slow enough already.

I did a couple of loops around on the dirt then a couple more miles on the back roads around to home. Nothing much to brag about but I managed to work hard up a couple of decent hills which slowed me down a bit.
Guess we'll see how it goes this next week. I'm hoping that my body adapts to the running quickly so that I can push out my mileage again. Just a month until the 100 mile ultra in Lad Vegas and I'm still unsure if I'm going to give it a go (although my entry was from before covid hit so I wouldn't get a refund of my entry fee).

Wow, 100 miles race coming ahead?! Nice!!
I’ve been there too, it’s hard to keep going when you don’t feel comfortable at all and your body doesn’t seem to help either. Focus every single day on just showing up and there you see what you can give to the training… there’s no use in forcing us or torture ourselves mentally.
I know you can do it, keep going!!
