My Actifit Report Card: May 13 2022

I tired little Lulu with a great hike up in Flagstaff this morning. We did a nice long hike around the Lowell Observatory and the tranquil pine forest surrounding the place.

The day was rather warm for Flagstaff (almost 80 degrees) and the extra altitude (7300 feet elevation) made it a bit tougher for us. At least the trail network consists of quite a few wide dirt paths/roads with nice smooth ground for walking.

At least the forest was nice and quiet even though it is right nextvto the city center and there were only a couple of other people enjoying the trails with us.

I made sure to bring a collapsible water bowl for Lulu and let her rest a bit and explore as this hike was a bit longer and harder than she has been used to doing (she
can afford to lose some weight as can I).

We were both happy when we reached the crest of our route and could loop back around for the much easier DOWNHILL back to our car.

It would be great to go out on these trails after some rain or in the Autumn or early Winter with a bit of snow on the ground or some nice moisture to green the landscape.
Oh well, time for some restful sleep. I know Lulu will sleep well tonight 😴.
