My Actifit Report Card: May 15 2022
Mother Nature turned up the heat today giving us 90 degrees and a bright sun as well. Fortunately my workouts were early and then late enough to avoid the heat.
Lulu was ready to go for her usual morning stroll and say hello to her doogy friends along the way. I was happy to be moving along at decent pace (even with Lulu's piddle breaks). 2.5 miles to start the day was a good start and Lulu was happy to be done with the warm walk.
Afterwards I spent a good part of the day cleaning up my yard - spreading out and raking a lot of the sand and dirt from my prospecting to add some decent soil over the otherwise hard clay and stones in our spot.
Thankfully I had a shade canopy up so I didn't bake in the sun but I was glad when the afternoon breeze helped cool things down s bit for my walk.
A couple of little hils didn't slow me down as I was ready to put in some miles today. As I said the bit of vlouds and s nice breeze kept the temperature much nicer and there was very little Sunday traffic on the roads. Despite the lack of rain over the past few months the plants are still trying to add some life to the landscape.
Tomorrow we'll probably head over to Lynx Creek for some prospecting before the little water left in the hills dries up until we get (hopefully) our monsoon rains in a couple of months.
