My Actifit Report Card: June 26 2022

We finally got back out to damp Lynx Creek this morning after an off and on rainy night for some nice hiking in the Prescott National Forest.

Lulu and I went out for a shorter 2 mile walk early this morning. She was happy to try to stalk and chase some rabbits and all in all have a good time and great exercise.
I had hoped there might be a little bit of water in the creek but only the plants and dirt were damp. It still was nice and quiet as no one else was out by the creek and Lulu couldn't wait to get going along the muddy trail.

The cloudy sky kept me comfortable and made the forest really beautiful.

It was easier for us to hike up on the dry creek bed instead of the wet trail with its slippery dirt and rock outcrops. Lulu was happy to run out ahead of me as well as up and down the hillsides. I really enjoyed the hike even though it wasn't too strenuous or far but being out in the forest after the rains reminded me of New England with the smells of the damp earth and pine needles (even a cool cave uo on the hillside from the old miners)

In the end we put in some good miles and I can't wait to get back, especially when the creek is running.
