My Actifit Report Card: January 20 2023

Another Winter day here in Arizona with freezing cold and another couple of inches of snow 🌨 on the ground when we woke up. We need the moisture but I'll be glad when it dries out and warms up (we're 20 degrees below normal- where's global warming when you need it).

Our morning walk was slow today as the roads had a slick layer of frosty ice and Lulu was constantly sniffing through the snow following animal tracks on the dirt trails. Not the most strenuous of walks but at least the sun shining on the snow-covered landscape was beautiful to look at.

As usual Lulu was having a wonderful time romping in the new snow and I think she would be happy to be running around in it for hours but the bitter cold (and lack of my morning goffee) meant that 2 miles was enough for our morning exercise.

No prospecting today with the new snow in the hills so I had to settle for an afternoon walk under ominous
snow clouds and occasional little bits of sleet and snow
My right leg was pretty sore after spending a few hours cleaning and reorganizing our RV storage so it was good to just get out and stretch out those tender muscles even if it was just a walk. I ended up with a decent 4 and a half miles on my usual rolling road loop as the sun began to set.
It looks like we might actually have a clear weekend so maybe I'll try to head out to the back country with Lulu for some rock or gold collecting.
