My Actifit Report Card: January 22 2023
Another cold but relaxing day as Lulu and I were able to get down to Lynx Creek despite the snow and ice up in the hills.
The creek was frigid with plenty of ice but we were able to get across without trouble and hike up the mile to our prospecting spot. It was freezing but the bright sun helped warm us up while I dug and Lulu explored.
4 hours in the forest before we hiked down the mile back to our car. A cold and dirty morning but it was nice to be out in the forest and my body was feeling pretty good afterwards.
I put in a strong 5 miles on a rolling road loop late in the afternoon. Plenty of poor Robins and Bluebirds out looking for food in the lingering frigid weather. I was able to job a few short bits which is encouraging but still not sure if I'll be able to run a good ultramarathon anytime soon.
Hope there's no snow tonight so that we can get out and explore again tomorrow.
