My Actifit Report Card: January 28 2023

Just another nothing of a day to start my weekend with a couple of walks and a bit of hiking and prospecting out on the icy creek.
Our usual 2 and a half mile loop early this morning to get things started. It's nice that the snow and ice are slowly melting away even in this cold weather. Lulu didn't bother to sniff around as much now that a lot of the soft snow is gone but she did find the time to have a nice roll.

I'm glad she likes her exercise but wish I could be running these routes instead.
I spent just a few hours over at Lynx Creek standing in the ice covered water panning for gold. Good thing my waterproof boots are insulated so my feet don't freeze. I didn't do a lot of heavy lifting so my legs weren't too sore for a long afternoon walk.
The temperature was ip into the 50s so I was able to go without a heavy jacket and keep up a nice pace up and down the rolling course. The longer days help in that I'm not finishing up as the sun sets.
Maybe soon backcountry hiking tomorrow in Stanton if the weather holds out- more wintery weather coming next week.
