My Actifit Report Card: October 29 2023
A bit of a frosty overnight here in Prescott and a sunny but cool day up in Flagstaff.
At least Lulu wasn't up and wanting to go at dawn so it was a little warmer when we started out on our morning walk and this time Lulu was more interested in walking than exploring.
The neighborhood was quiet, but that's usual for a Sunday so we enjoyed a peaceful 2 miles before heading up to Flagstaff.
There were plenty of people outdoors in Flagstaff and it felt great to go for a hike on a late October Sunday. Lulu headed right up the dirt road past Thorpe Park towards the trail up onto Mars Mesa.
Then it was a good steady mile climb up onto the mesa towards the Lowell Observatory (although we wouldn't go all the way to the top). At least the trail is wide and smooth and surrounded by the beautiful pine forest so it's easy to enjoy the climb.
Once up at the crest of our hike we paused for just a bit so that we both could have a nice drink before turning back down a slightly different trail to end up back at the city park with all of its still lush green grass.
Time for an early sleep and looking forward to the last week of October.
