My Actifit Report Card: November 24 2023

A cloudy and cool day that dropped a few raindrops on us while we were over on Lynx Creek for a few hours. Autumn is definitely here and freezing cold can't be too far away.

The roads were quiet on this Black Friday which was nice for our morning 2 miles. The sky was a mix of vig dark clouds with the sun poking through at times but thankfully the rain didn't materialize while we were out.
The trailhead at Lynx was about half full with other outdoors people but there were no other folks along the trail as we headed along the gulch for some hiking before checking the old placer dredge tailings along the creek for residual gold.

We both enjoyed a few miles on some secluded and quiet trails with just birds and a couple of javelinas out to keep us company. Fortunately Lulu knew to leave the javelinas alone as their sharp tusks can be deadly to dogs and even people.
Afterwards we spent a couple of hours working the old placer tailings along Lynx Creek to see if the old dredge operations had left any gold. Just a few flakes for my work while Lulu relaxed by the creek to keep watch.
