My Actifit Report Card: May 2 2024

This will be a short report as we spent most of the day on the road driving back home from southern New Mexico but we fortunately were able to spend a bit of time at the Bosque del Apache wildlife refuge where we volunteered a few years ago.


We got an early start so Lulu could only enjoy a couple of short loops around the hotel before we headed off.
We had spent 5 months at the Bosque as volunteers and it was good to visit again and take a tour of the refuge as well as a wonderful 3 miles walking along a couple of the refuge trails.

Plenty of songbirds to enjoy as well as a good number of turkeys strolling across the roads and along under the cottonwood trees.
We finished with a walk through the desert garden at the visitor center to enjoy the collection of desert plants and numerous hummingbirds.


Hopefully we'll be able to volunteer here again soon.
