One more easy day - My Actifit Report Card: April 22 2025

I decided to take it easy for one more day before resuming some degree of running (plus I still have a lot of packing up our RV for our departure on Monday).

We headed over to Lynx Lake earlier in the day before the warmth hit and it was a wonderful time for a hike. There were very few people there and the lake was very quiet and peaceful. We did scare several Mallard ducks foraging on the banks above the lake. The lake level is still very low but hopefully there will be enough precipitation to raise it up over the summer.
Lulu was happy to chase a couple of squirrels and my legs enjoyed the 3 milea around the trails.

I had considered hiking by myself up at Granite Basin but Lulu was up for more exercise. There was a nice crowd of people enjoying the lake as we started our hike from there. We didn't meet anyone else along the 3 miles looping around the forest but there were plenty of little woodland birds for company.
Lulu finished up with a nice splash and sip az we spent a few extra minutes enjoying the beautiful scenery of the basin - I'll miss this spot when we leave.
