Slovakia vs. Germany – Prediction Market Shock!

On PredictBase, there was a hot market running for the FIFA World Cup Qualifier:

Most of the money and sentiment was on Germany, the clear favorite with odds around 1.43x. Slovakia, however, was given only a 6.88% chance to win, with crazy odds at 14.53x.

My Bet

While I also believed Germany was the stronger side, the insane 14x+ odds on Slovakia were too tempting to ignore.
So, I placed a small bet on Slovakia winning… and guess what?
