Maryland: The US Task Force on Disease Control says daily aspirin can be harmful to the healthy.

This is stated in the recent guidelines of the said task force which have been issued after reviewing dozens of investigations into the use of aspirin.

According to the details, the US Task Force (USPSTF) in its new guidelines has specifically warned people over the age of 40 who have not had any heart disease but as a precautionary measure. Using aspirin as much as 80 mg to 100 mg daily.

The task force's recommendations make it clear that patients who are taking a specific dose of aspirin daily on their doctor's advice should not change their routine because the new guidelines are only for healthy people.

If a healthy person over the age of 40 has a 10% chance of having a heart attack or stroke after a medical examination, he should not use aspirin daily without consulting his doctor.

According to the US Task Force (USPSTF), the new guidelines are not intended to declare aspirin harmful, but it is also important to note the potential harms of unnecessary use of a common drug such as aspirin, especially diarrhea. The public should be warned of the added danger of hemorrhage.

These guidelines also advise physicians to exercise caution when prescribing aspirin to their patients.
