Football is a beautiful game and will always be a beautiful game. But as life may have it, beautiful things come with some negative packages sometimes.

On the 2nd of August, a Copa Libertadores match in Buenos Aires saw some sad moment when the former Real Madrid player, Marcelo, now playing for Fluminense FC, accidentally got his opponent Luciano Sánchez injured in the 56th minutes of the match.

Thank God for the quick medical response of the medical team who brought the situation to a manageable level. Report says, he will recover in 9 to 12 months time.

Now the situation was easily remedied because this is an international football team. The big question is, what if this happened to a local player in a local team.

I had similar experience some days ago, during a football match competition which I was the goal keeper. We were in a one-on-one situation and an opponent player ran into my mouth leaving me in a very sorry state. My lips and teeth were affected, buh thank God for quick recovery. Below is a picture.

At first the team's management were reluctant to treat me, after some agitations from me, I was taken to nearby pharmacy where I was treated.
