Defensive Nightmare: Real Madrid’s Latest World Cup Woes

Madrid did it again, yes Real Madrid and their disappointment streak once again in the Fifa Club World Cup. I wasn't expecting much though because I could see how tense the players were before the match began especially the defense, which looked slack right from their first match against Al Hilal. I follow a football guy on tiktok (Kombo) who's a Barcelona fan and always troll Madrid with passion, he even came online one day with herbalist attire just to troll madrid during one of their matches, so anytime they have a match, he always hope they get defeated and if that happens, the whole space won't hear word again, I still feel like stoning the guy anytime I see it.

It seems this jinx worked on Alonso (the coach) unlike the previous formation which gave him wins over other clubs and gave them the opportunity to reach the semi-final stage, he didn't start Mbappe and Vinicus Junior together in a match, Mbappe was sick so he used Gonzalo instead and they actually played well, at least 1 or 2 goals is enough but their defense was something else. I found a tweet about Trent not showing up due to an issue and when I later saw the line up, I took a deep breath. Starting Vini and Mbappe upfront was a mistake, I don't think those two have stopped competing against each other, they don't work together plus playing Mbappe in Rodrygo position is something else, he kept coming back to the Vini position.

Match started and boom village people hold Asencio leg which lead to the first goal, Asensio received the ball and was slow to control it and Dembele was smart enough to snatch it, they deserve the first goal though because it would have be a pk with yellow card probably for Courtois. Within 3 mins after the first goal, Rudiger did the same thing with his wayward pass and Dembele snatch it again. it was obvious he will snatch the ball so it is best to just play it to throw in or long pass to Courtois but he couldn't decide on time. After 2 goals within first 10 minutes, I knew the match was over, 24 mins in, boom another goal. If I'm their coach, we all will pack up and leave the field. People were predicting Madrid will do another Remontada in the second half and I just laugh.

PSG didn't come to play, they have been pressing Madrid neck from the start, the half time and full time stats prove it and now they qualify to play in the finals with Chelsea but I'm 90% sure they will lift the cup just like they did in UCL, Chelsea will be collecting wotowoto on Sunday.
