EAGLET WORLD CUP TOURNEY.

Just a day after defeating the host Turkey in their fist match of the ongoing tournament in Turkey 2-0. The Nigeria team and five time FIFA U17 World Youth Championship winners thrashed the boys from Guatemala 4-1 in their second match of the tournament taking place in Turkey.

Many have questioned the chances of the boys in the forth coming FIFA World cup proper, the team is young and very resolute to go all out and add to the glory of Nigeria at the age competition. Golden Eaglet as the Nigeria Under 17 national male team is fondly called is expected to put up a good fight at this year FIFA Under 17 World cup haven't failed to qualified for the last edition of the competition.

With the team performance so far at the invitational tournament one but only hope that the team will improve in all department of the game if the team really want to challenge the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France and Japan at this year World cup.

Going by the expression of the Golden Eaglet Head Coach, Manu Garba, the coach insisted that team has improved tremendously from the team that won the WAFU B U17 Championship in Niger Republic and later finished fourth at the Africa Under 17 Cup of Nation in Tanzania early this year.

Irrespective of the outcome of this invitational tournament, one thing that is sure is that the future of Nigeria football is very bright judging with talents exhibited by this boys at the ongoing invitational tournament. As we have seen in recent time where the like of Chukwueze,Ihannacho,Dele Alampasu and the rest are either in the super or in the Under 23 team already.
