Early yesterday morning, with @deska89 we headed to the excavations of an ancient facility located next to the Sarafovo district. I hadn't been there in a while and I couldn't wait to go.
We rode our bikes along the bike path to the Burgas Saltworks. Despite the early hour, it was full of people.
We continued to Sarafovo, where there was also a lot of traffic of cars and people.
We continued cycling outside of Sarafovo where there is a dirt road that leads to the site.
It turned out to be quite desolate, covered with tall weeds and thorns. If we wanted to get to the excavations, we had to keep going. Of course we didn't refuse.
There was a moment when we had to put the bicycles down because it got steep.
After a series of obstacles, we reached the shore.
Unfortunately, we could not see the excavations because of the huge blackberry bushes and other vegetation that had covered everything around.
But the view and the atmosphere were extremely favorable and predisposing to drink our morning coffee - so we did.
After a nice rest on the beach, Desi and I headed back towards the city.
Near the Saltworks it was full of people, some of them already smeared with healing mud and ready to dive into the sea.
