Cat and Pear Tree
Picking the pears from the pear tree one of the cats watched me with interest.
At times, her attention was attracted by various sounds, but she stood tightly around me and did not miss my movements.
During this time I was picking pears and thinking about these late fruits.
They ripen later than other pears - in the months - of September, October, and November. At this point, they are not so tasty, they are even slightly astringent.
But after they are stored in a dry and dark place, their taste in the time becomes sweet, aromatic and really very delicious. We do the same with these fruits.
They can be stored for several months after that - until the beginning of next year. Delicious pears in the cold winter months.
