Arsenal Trash Sunderland 5 - 1 As They Book A Place In The Semifinal Of The Carabao Cup

Arsenal continue in their fine form against Sunderland in the EFL Cup(Carabao cup), as they trash them 5 - 1, with goals from Eddie Nkettia (hattrick), Pepe and Patino, and thereby book their place in the Carabo cup semi-final.

As Arteta mark his 2years rein as an Arsenal manager with a Victory at home.
Arsenal went From scoring 2 early goals via Nkettia and Pepe, to conceding a goal and looking shakky for the rest of the first half, they later find back their nerve in the second half, and when on to score 3 more goals.

One of the headline of the game was Patino who was making his first team debut and scoring some minutes after coming in as a sub for Smith, it'll definitely be a day to remember for him, and he'll be hoping to get more first team minutes from now on.

On the other side of the pitch, we've got Pepe, who's mark his 100 appreance for the club, he was at the top of his game, and most especially in the second half, he was trashing the Sunderland defence apart with his dribbling skills, and ended up with 2 lovely assist and a goal,(though i wish he'll be consistent with his form).

And to the man of the match Nkettia, he hardly took a foot wrong throughout the match and cap it up with gorgeous super backheel to complete his hattrick.
He's definitely a man on a mission (although there are rumour spreading around the club, that he reject a new contract offer in search for a greener pastures where he can get regular minutes weekly), either way, we'll enjoy him, while stock last.

And lastly once again Abumayang remain out of the team selection, as Arteta stated that nothing as change from the last time he spoke with the press.

Thanks for stopping by my blog post, have a pleasant day ahead.
