CFR Cluj, The Romanian Champions, Managed To Qualify For The Group Stage Of UEFA Europa Conference League A Second Time Consecutively
Good afternoon from Romania, fellow HIVE users as well as dear readers from both HIVE and outside of it, and, last but not least, football fans worldwide! For today's first post here on my HIVE blog, I decided to write about the fact that my all time favourite Romanian football club, CFR Cluj, managed to qualify in the group stage of the ongoing edition of UEFA Europa Conference League after registering a victory over Slovenian champions NK Maribor on home ground, in Gruia, by a margin of solely one goal which was scored by Croatina defensive midfielder and centre back Lovro Cvek in the 90th minute through a scissor.
Cvek's goal was indeed an eurogoal and CFR's qualification in the last minute of the game was quite dramatic. This way, the overtime was successfully avoided and CFR paved its way to the second consecutive qualification in the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
