Backyard Work - My Actifit Report Card: May 9 2025
This afternoon I stepped out into the backyard hoping for a moment of peace and maybe a bit of sun.. I hadn't been back there in a while and right away I noticed how wild things had become.. The pond was completely overgrown.
I rolled up my sleeves and decided it was time for a little cleanup.. As I pulled away some of the overgrowth I noticed something unusual.. Nestled in one corner of the pond were clusters of water lettuce.. those small, floating plants that look like open rosettes.. But what caught my attention wasn’t just how green and fresh they looked.. it was how the newly grown ones were all crammed together like they were huddling for space...
There was something oddly beautiful about the way they were layered, overlapping, competing for light in their little corner... I paused and took a photo..
It was incredible..
