Getting the miles in and trying to shift some weight.
It's nice to be back out and enjoying pounding those pavements. I let me jogging slip last year and trying to find any form of fitness has been hard since Christmas and my little run in with #covid19.
Now my time on this little 5mile lunchtime jog won't set the world on fire, but I really did enjoy this pace. I found it left me completely able to chat with my running partner all the way round, and not feel completely drained once I had finished. My legs felt fine and this was my second five mile jog in 2 day (back to back). Today's pace was about 15 seconds per mile quicker, and if the weather hold up, I'll see if I have anything left in the tank tomorrow and get out for another 5miler.
A large chunk of these 12k+ steps was obviously down to my daily jog. What with my attempt to shift a few extra pounds (again), every extra step over that 10000 barrier helps to shift those extra pounds.
