El UFC282 ha sido un evento muy complicado, se mantuvo en espera durante un prolongado tiempo, tratando de conseguir el regreso de Jon Jones y que fuera el peleador del combate estelar. No se pudo lograr, después revelaron el cartel oficial y teníamos a Glover Teixeira buscando la revancha sobre el campeón Jiří Procházka. Lamentablemente, tampoco va a ocurrir este enfrentamiento, debido a una grave lesión de Procházka y la UFC se vio obligada a buscar un nuevo combate. ¿Quién será el nuevo rival de Glover? Pues nada de eso, Teixeira queda relegado y se suma Magomed Ankalaev contra Jan Błachowicz por el título de las 205 libras.

That couldn't be accomplished, then they revealed the official card and we had Glover Teixeira looking for a rematch over champion Jiří Procházka. Unfortunately, this matchup isn't going to happen either, due to a serious injury to Procházka and the UFC was forced to look for a new bout. Who will be Glover's new opponent? Well none of that, Teixeira is relegated and Magomed Ankalaev vs. Jan Błachowicz for the 205-pound title is added.

Ha quedado fuera de la ecuación, la UFC le ofreció un combate contra Ankalaev y no quiso aceptarlo en tan poco tiempo. Glover quiso luchar contra Błachowicz porque ya lo conoce, pero la compañía se negó, tenía que ser Ankalaev o si no se quedaba sin nada, tristemente este negocio de la UFC, muchas veces es duro.

Para mí, la compañía tuvo un mal acto con Glover, dejarlo fuera en la contienda por el título no está bien, sabíamos que el primero en la fila era Teixeira y ahora simplemente quedo borrado. Luego entiendo que la empresa no puede perder tiempo, Glover quería luchar en enero contra Ankalaev y eso dejaba en pésimo estado el evento de UFC282.
El segundo factor, tiene que ver con el mismo Glover Teixeira, perder esta oportunidad es crucial para su carrera, Glover es un veterano, son 43 años de edad y el tiempo pasa para todos. Comprendo que tomar una batalla contra Ankalaev, en tan poco tiempo, puede ser una derrota asegurada, pero debió asumir el riesgo, va a estar perdiendo una gran bolsa de dinero y además la oportunidad de volver a competir por el cinturón. Ahora, nada le asegura que tenga otra oportunidad y que sea el primer contendiente del ganador al título.
La UFC es un espectáculo, pero también un gran modelo de negocio, si o si, tenían que tener un título en juego para el UFC282, porque de lo contrario, sería un evento muy amargo y de poca atención. La compañia había "prometido" a Jon Jones, no se pudo dar y luego se termina cayendo Jiří Procházka. Entiendo que quitar el cinturón sería devastador y por ello la presión hacia Glover Teixeira de pelear en diciembre bajo cualquier circunstancia. Las medidas no fueron las mejores, Glover Teixeira se merecía lucha por el título, pero él también tuvo que haber arriesgado y pensar un poco más allá de todo lo ocurrido.

¿Procházka debió hacer lo mismo? Considero que si, aunque aplaudo su gentileza, pero ahora no es campeón y perdió un estatus importante dentro de la empresa. Cuando hay un nuevo campeón, se abren distintos escenarios para posibles rivales, por lo que Jiří Procházka puede perder una opción de recuperar el título, hablando en corto tiempo y eso no estaría nada bueno para sus pretensiones. Si tienes el cinturón, ganas mucho más dinero, obtienes puntos de PPV y tienes en tu poder una mejor manera de negociar peleas.
Ahora Jiří no tiene nada, aunque la compañía siempre premia los buenos actos de sus peleadores, porque esto es lo mejor para la empresa, dejar que siga rodando la división y no tener un cinturón atascado en manos de un campeón lesionado. Por los momentos, no estaré analizando el combate, pero me parece atractivo, Ankalaev posee una gran lucha y Błachowicz tiene un striking respetable. Son 9 victorias consecutivas para Magomed Ankalaev, siempre se mencionó su nombre en esta división, se esperaba que llegara a estas instancias y recibe su primera oportunidad de manera sorpresiva.
Será el último evento del año, ambos luchadores no son tan populares, quizás no sea una noche tan especial o de mucho ruido, pero si tendremos una gran competencia, una pelea muy disfrutable que cuenta con diferentes estilos de batalla y que tiene de por medio el cinturón de la división. A mi parecer Magomed Ankalaev se convertirá en campeón, lo veía como serio rival de Jiří Procházka, porque el nivel de suelo es superior y aparte ejerce buen rendimiento arriba con striking.
Pero, Jan Błachowicz cuenta con mucha experiencia, aunque viene con poca preparación y eso, a los 39 años de edad, puede costarte el combate. Ha sido un cambio inesperado, no es lo mejor, pero tampoco es malo y el 10 de diciembre tendremos una batalla que promete ser una guerra, no te la pierdas.

Un tema difícil de analizar por las variables presentes, además de que hay muchas decisiones particulares involucradas. Particularmente pienso que Glover hizo lo correcto, más que todo por su edad, si fuera joven si habría sido un error, pero a sus 43 años tomar una pelea con mínima preparación es un verdadero riesgo, además que nada tiene que demostrar.
Yo pienso que lo de Yiri fue más que todo presión de la misma UFC que un acto voluntario. Aunque a veces estás cosas no salen a la luz, por lo menos Ngannou se ha negado a eso y hubieron problemas mediáticos en aquel entonces. Razón por la cual ha perdido algo de prestigio.
No se, creo que justamente la edad es lo primordial aquí, aunque estoy seguro que fuera perdido con poco tiempo de preparación ante Ankalaev, por lo menos fuera tenido la oportunidad titular, ahora eso podría cambiar y busquen otro retador después dejando a Glover totalmente fuera de todo.
Y lo de Jiri, pues hay te doy la razón, quizás la compañía presiono para esto, porque lo de Ngannou ha sido espantoso, tuvimos 1 año feo en la división de los pesados y puede que no quisieran lo mismo.
