Chito Vera tenia la prueba mas dura de su carrera, enfrentar a un ex campeón, que jamás había perdido una pelea que no fueran por el titulo, se trataba de Dominick Cruz quien intenta mantener su carrera en vigencia, pero Chito Vera esta en una misión de alcanzar el titulo y no le iba a permitir a Dominick Cruz acabar con ese sueño. La pelea estuvo entretenida desde el comienzo, ambos siguiendo a la perfección su estrategia de combate, donde todo al final terminaría por medio de una patada que ocasionaría el KO y daba la victoria a Chito Vera en el 4to round.

Análisis del combate - Combat analysis
Apenas el juez dio la orden de pelea, Dominick Cruz se fue arriba de Chito a conectar golpes con gran velocidad, teniendo una movilidad en todo momento, siempre en punta de pie y entrando en la guardia para luego salir. Chito Vera que es un peleador que comienza lento, este estilo de Cruz lo tenia aun mas incomodo, pues necesitaba leer por completo al rival y ahí comenzar a ejercer presión con el ataque. En mi mente las patadas abajo de Chito hacia Cruz, iban hacer importantes para detener la movilidad, pero no pudo conectar ninguna patada, porque Dominick Cruz estaba haciendo una pelea perfecta y en puntos estaba ganando el combate tranquilamente.
Lo especial de Chito Vera es su poder, rápidamente en el primer round lo mando al suelo con un gancho de izquierda y en el 3er round también llego a tumbarlo. Dominick Cruz no tiene pegada, Chito se encontraba tranquilo y sin preocupación de ser finalizado, aunque estaba perdiendo el combate y solo un KO lo iba llevar hacia la victoria. La esquina de Chito Vera le comento que usara sus piernas, porque Dominick tiene una manera de esquivar golpes bajando la cabeza y eso en las MMA es muy peligroso. Poco a poco Chito Vera comenzó a lanzar patadas hacia la cabeza, pudo conectar una muy fuerte y para el 4to round la movilidad de Dominick Cruz ya no era la misma.
Quien había conectado mas golpes era Cruz, pero quien había pegado mas fuerte era Chito, por tal razón Dominick se encontraba un poco lastimado y para el 4to round Vera comenzó a ir hacia el frente para conseguir el KO. Bajar la cabeza para protegerse es un movimiento de boxeo, Chito tenia leído por completo en esta instancia a Cruz, simplemente lo estaba esperando y el momento llego. Chito intenta un golpe con derecha y Dominick agacha su cabeza y en ese momento recibe una enorme patada de izquierda en toda la nariz, cae completamente rendido al suelo y la pelea se acaba por medio de una enorme finalización de Chito Vera.
La clave para esta victoria de Chito, fue estudiar muy bien a su rival, mantener la paciencia, pues nunca se vio desesperado, sabia que sus golpes lastimaban mucho y que solo era cuestión de tiempo para conseguir el de la victoria. Mientras mas pasaba el tiempo mas oportunidades había para Chito Vera, porque Dominick Cruz se había movido mucho y era difícil que su cardio aguantara esa misma intensidad durante 5 asaltos. Estamos ante una super estrella de la compañía, todo el publico estaba coreando su nombre y sinceramente me alegra mucho porque anteriormente Chito fue muy subestimado.

¿Próximo combate por el titulo? - Next title fight?
Chito Vera tiene grandes méritos para tener la oportunidad de pelear por el titulo, viene ganando de manera espectacular ante peleadores muy buenos y ya se encuentra en la parte mas alta del ranking. La compañía pudiera ofrecerle ya la pelea que tanto quiere, pero hay otros luchadores que igual se lo merecen, tenemos a José Aldo que pelea esta semana y ganando también esta con grandes méritos para una lucha titular. luego el ex campeón Petr Yan se encuentra número 1 en la clasificación y si gana su combate contra Sean O'Malley, también se va perfilar por una pelea hacia el titulo.
Son 3 nombres importantes incluyendo a Chito Vera, lo bueno es que el ecuatoriano ha sido el primero en ganar, todavía los otros dos peleadores tienen que luchar y ganar sus combates. Haber logrado un KO ante Cruz también le otorga mas posibilidades, vencer de esa manera a una leyenda de la división no es nada sencillo y realmente espero que eso se suficiente peso para que lo coloquen en una lucha por el titulo. Basado en mi opinión se la merece, quedaria entre el y José Aldo haber quien de los dos seria el oponente del campeón en la división.
Si la compañía decide darle la oportunidad a José Aldo, Chito Vera tendrá que luchar contra Petr Yan seguramente, lo cual seria un reto aun mas fuerte, aunque ganándole al 1 de la categoría, no habrá forma para que no le ofrezcan la lucha por el titulo y aquí si pasaría directamente hacia el objetivo que tanto viene trabajando. Personalmente no me gustaría que tenga que realizar otro combate, puede ser peligroso para sus aspiraciones, ya que perdiendo nuevamente quedaría lejos y lo mejor seria que tenga la oportunidad en estos momentos. Toca esperar la decisión de la UFC, pero claramente Chito Vera tiene todos los méritos para obtener esa pelea por el titulo de peso gallo.

Chito Vera vs Petr Yan
A Petr Yan le ofrecieron pelear contra Chito Vera, pero el ruso no quiso aceptar ese combate y prefirió pelear contra Sean O'Malley que esta fuera del top 10. No puedo decir que tuvo miedo, simplemente O'Malley representa una menor amenaza y es un hombre muy popular que le hará ganar mas dinero. Pero si Petr Yan gana ese combate ya no podrá rechazar a Chito Vera, van a tener que luchar y créanme que será una pelea muy interesante de ver. Ambos tienen el mismo estilo, comienzan lentos para estudiar a su rival y luego comienzan atacar fuertemente hasta conseguir la victoria.
Un año atrás te podría decir que Chito Vera no tiene como ganarle, pero las cosas han cambiado mucho y su evolución ha sido gigantesca. Petr Yan es mi peleador favorito de la UFC, me parece que es lo mejor que ahí dentro de la compañía, pero nadie en la división de peso gallo, cuenta con el poder de KO que tiene Chito Vera y eso lo convierte en una amenaza seria para cualquier luchador. Chito Vera es mas alto, también es mas fuerte en peso, no es nada malo en el suelo y el striking es poderoso. Tiene todas las habilidades para vencer al mejor peleador de la categoría y luego enfrentar al campeón.
Todo este desenlace va ocurrir si José Aldo es el hombre que peleara por el titulo y realmente creo que eso va suceder. Entonces tendremos este gran combate entre dos peleadores de gran similitud, mucho estudio, mucha paciencia, gran cardio y explosividad en los últimos 3 asaltos. Chito Vera vio como le ganaron a Petr Yan, simplemente lo llevaron al suelo constantemente y lo dominaron durante varios round para terminar ganando en las tarjetas. Eso fue lo que hizo el campeón Aljamain Sterling y Chito Vera también pudiera aplicar la misma estrategia para salir victorioso en este combate. La división de peso gallo esta llena de talentos, una de las mas difíciles de toda la UFC y tener a Chito Vera en lo mas alto es un gran orgullo hacia todos los latinos y ahora mismo puede ganarle a cualquier peleador.

Siempre capta mi atención cuando veo por tv una de estas peleas, de verdad que son deportes de contacto altamente exigentes, la resistencia de estos atletas para aguantar un round es fenomenal. Excelente análisis del combate!!

Esa patada conecto demasiado neta, me pongo en el lugar de Cruz y pienso que al bajar la mirada lo único que vio si logro ver algo fue el empeine de Chito, era imposible que siguiera después de eso.
En cuanto a una pelea titular, podría ser aunque es debatible porque el retador número 1 sigue siendo Peter Yan, y no creo que lo vayan a saltar, de hecho pienso que la pelar entre Yan y Sugar dará el próximo rival de Chito y el ganador de allí si por el título.
Particularmente quiero verlo contra Yan, será un buen espectáculo 😎
Fue tan rápido ese movimiento que seguro no tuvo tiempo, lo midió perfecto y la patada estuvo muy salvaje.
Si O'Malley gana contra Yan si le darán la pelea titular, eso será fijo, pero si Yan gana no creo, porque ya perdió hace poco, injustamente pero perdió, entonces si lo veo enfrentando a Chito y más porque todo indica que Yan ganará frente a O'Malley.
Sin dudas sería un peleón y como ambos son similares en cuanto a lucha, va ser un espectáculo y me encantaría igualmente verla. Saludos Bro.
Uff excelente pelea, el chito siempre fiel a su estilo. No se se le convenga pelear con Petr yan. Yan es un peleador que al igual que el chito empieza lento y recién explota a finales del segundo asalto y principios del primero. Será un choque muy peligroso para el ecuatoriano.
Saludos Chito hizo una excelente performance, sigue demostrando que su nivel es de élite y contra Petr Yan todo sería complicado, pero tiene con que ganarle. Saludos!
