Anoche se llevo una cartelera de la UFC en las vegas, la estuve observando completa desde que arranco a las 7:00 PM, hasta que finalizo con la ultima batalla que será la protagonista de mi escrito, la cual dio por terminada casi a la 1:00 AM de la madrugada, pienso que las peleas fueron muy entretenidas, me gusto mucho el mexicano Manuel Torres, dio un KO espectacular en su debut y creo que se le debe colocar el ojo a este hombre. Pero todas las miradas ayer estaban en Blachowicz enfrentando a Rakic, una lucha muy interesante donde ambos necesitaban ganar, pienso que el ganador aquí estará nuevamente con posibilidades de luchar por el cinturón de semicompletos.

Jan Blachowicz venia de una derrota ante Glover Teixeira, pelea donde perdió el titulo que había obtenido ante Dominck Cruz, por lo cual llegaba con necesidad de victoria porque de perder iba estar bajando en el ranking, actualmente se encuentra en la posición número 1 y logrando una victoria se pondría nuevamente como candidato al titulo. Ya cuenta con 39 años de edad, venir de una derrota donde pierdes el titulo puede ser devastador a nivel psicológico, me interesaba mucho visualizar como se encontraba contra un peleador de gran nivel y si se podía mantener solido durante los 5 round.

Aleksandar Rakic es un peleador mucho mas joven, quizás pasando por su mejor momento en la UFC, venia de dos victorias muy buenas frente a peleadores duros de la división, actualmente ubicado en el ranking numero 3 de la categoría y de gana el combate subiría seguramente hacia el puesto numero 1 que ocupaba Jan Blachowicz. Sus habilidades destacan mas en striking, Jan Blachowicz tiene muchas finalizaciones en la UFC, por lo cual este choque de estilos resultaba interesante y quería observar si Rakic podía dominar la pelea estando en el centro del octágono.
Aleksandar Rakic is a much younger fighter, perhaps going through his best moment in the UFC, coming off two very good wins against tough fighters in the division, currently ranked number 3 in the division and if he wins the fight he would surely climb towards the number 1 spot occupied by Jan Blachowicz. El combate se estaba desarrollando de pie, ambos buscando impactar fuertemente con su derecha, pero quien tenia mejor plan de pelea seria Jan Blachowicz, sin duda alguna se pudo observar que la veteranía estaba dando resultados, mediante una combinación de izquierda al cuerpo y derecha al rostro, lograba castigar muchas veces a Rakic que no sabia como defender esta combinación que estaba siendo letal, porque no solo estaba consiguiendo puntos, si no que estaba logran causar un daño y todo se podía acabar si no le encontraba alguna defensa al ataque. Aleksander Rakic conecto unos buenos golpes con su derecha, pero era poco su volumen de golpeo y mas era el castigo que recibía por parte de Blachowicz.

Para contrarrestar el ataque Rakic logro llevar al piso a Blakchowicz, aquí vimos lo mejor de Aleksander quien pudo tener control de dominio en el suelo y mediante la lucha comenzó a castigar con algunos codos al rostro de Jan. Pense que seria diferente el combate, crei que Blakchowicz buscaría llevarlo al suelo y que Rakic dominaría en striking, pero fue todo lo contrario.

Mientras que Rakic cuando pudo lanzarlo al suelo, consiguió su mejor oportunidad para castigar, ahora todo había cambiado y para el segundo round yo estaba esperando que Rakic saliera nuevamente a buscar el derribo.

Para el segundo round pude apreciar una superioridad de Jan Blachowicz, quien seguía golpeando fuertemente abajo con patadas y manteniendo su plan de golpes a la perfección, pero también se noto el poder que tiene Rakic en las manos, porque pudo conectar pocas veces, pero con gran potencia y eso desarrollaba un escenario mas que interesante. Lo curioso fue que no intento el derribo en este asalto, le habia funcionado en el anterior y aunque para mi Blachowicz tiene mas recursos en el suelo, Rakic no se había visto mal y en el piso había conseguido oro. Para mi esto tarde o temprano podia terminar en un KO, si bien Blachowicz estaba conectando con su izquierda y derecha, esa combinación para mi dejaba mucho espacio en su guardia y si Rakic lanzaba un recto podía acabar todo por su gran pegada.

Sencillamente Rakic al final no pudo contrarrestar este ataque, estaba recibiendo mucho castigo y para el tercer round sucedió algo muy inesperado. En medio de un intercambio Rakic sufre una grave lesión de rodilla, la cual genera que se acabe el combate y dando la victoria a Jan Blachowicz que de todas formas iba ganando el combate por puntos. Aunque vi que Jan estaba dominando, me parece que la pelea estaba muy buena, porque como dije anteriormente, cada golpe de Rakic estaba siendo con mucha fuerza y llegue a pensar que podía darle un KO a Jan en cualquier momento si este dejaba su guardia descubierta. Fueron 3 round donde hubo mucha acción, para nada aburrida y Blachowicz va seguir manteniendo su puesto número 1 seguramente y debería ser el próximo candidato a pelear por el titulo.
