Entramos al combate con un ritmo pausado, mucho estudio en el primer asalto, Ricky Simón, no se atrevía a entrar en la guardia corta y Song Yadong, estaba seleccionando con gran precisión sus golpes de poder. Rápidamente, notamos un gran respeto por parte de Ricky Simón, no se veía cómodo al momento de buscar un derribo y Song Yadong, simplemente estaba lleno de confianza y con una excelente defensa contra derribos. Primer round donde el poco volumen fue notorio, por tanto, Song Yadong, termina ganando el asalto sin mucho esfuerzo.
Segundo asalto de más acción, Ricky Simón, buscaba un poco más los derribos, aunque, todos sin éxito, Song Yadong, no estaba permitiendo absolutamente nada y golpeaba con poder a la humanidad de su adversario. Desafortunadamente, hay un momento cuando ambos chocan cabezas, Ricky Simón, queda un poco mal y lo aprovecha el chino para impactar con su poder. Aunque, ha sido el round donde si pudo conseguir llevar el combate al suelo, pudo conectar con ground and pound y por primera vez en toda la pelea, provocaba un pequeño daño en el cuerpo de Song Yadong. La pelea en striking le convenía más al chino, Ricky Simón, no estaba proponiendo nada y simplemente se apegaba al derribo.
Llegamos al cuarto asalto, Song Yadong, empezó a ir más hacia el frente, tenía probablemente la pelea ganada en las tarjetas, pero, no quería dejar dudas y se fue con todo a terminar la batalla. El poder siempre estuvo presente, por poco logra noquear a Ricky Simón, quien ha sido salvado por la campana al final del round. Contra todo pronóstico, fue superior en todos los aspectos, combinaciones de poder, patadas al cuerpo, golpes en la distancia larga, golpes de poder en la distancia corta y una defensa que ha estado a la altura del compromiso. La evolución de Song Yadong, está siendo impresionante, espero verlo nuevamente dentro de la jaula, tiene muchas herramientas y es un peleador divertido de observar.

Seguramente, ahora lo veamos contra un top 5, puede ser contra Petr Yan, una batalla muy interesante y una posibilidad que pudiera acercar a Song Yadong, hacia el título de las 135 libras.

A mí me sorprendió que no terminará la pelea antes, como te dije pensé que en el segundo o tercero lo terminaría pero se llevó los 5 asaltos. Yadong puede dar pelea a los 5 primeros, ha mejorado mucho, veamos que le empareja UFC para su próximo combate.
Si pudo pasar, pero respeto a Simón, no quiso volverse loco, estuvo con mucha paciencia y cuando soltó todo lo líquido. Estoy contigo, puede ser competitivo contra cualquiera, hay mucho talento en Yadong, no importa quien sea del top 5, me va a gustar ver eso jeje.
