El evento de boxeo, que hubo el sábado 22 de abril, termino opacando un poco la cartelera de UFC, no recuerdo la última vez que había ocurrido esta situación. Pero, realmente no fue sorpresa, Ryan García vs Gervonta Davis, sería un mejor show de entretenimiento a lo que respecta los deportes de contacto. De todas formas, ha sido un UFC Fight Night con pocos combates interesantes, solo a destacar la batalla estelar, choque de trenes que tenía repercusiones importantes en la categoría de pesos completos.

Esperaba que buscara derribos, viniera con un plan de lucha y eso fue lo menos que hubo en la pelea.
Sergei Pavlovich, a pesar de no considerarlo favorito a ganar, llegaba al combate con un registro demoledor, 5 victorias consecutivas de manera contundente, cada una por la vía de la finalización en el primer asalto. Con el poder que tiene en sus manos, jamás será un rival sencillo de vencer, simplemente conectando un buen golpe puede ganar la pelea. En las tarjetas no lo veía ganando, esperaba un nocaut poderoso en caso de obtener la victoria y fue lo que termino sucediendo.
Es importante sobrevivir el primer asalto contra Sergei Pavlovich, porque sus energías están al 100% al comienzo del combate. Una vez termine el asalto, su cardio puede disminuir para la segunda mitad y no sabemos si tenga la misma capacidad de noquear con un desgasto físico. ¿Puede Curtis Blaydes superar el primer asalto? La estrategia de Curtis Blaydes, ha sido pésima, no entiendo por qué quiso boxear ante Sergei Pavlovich, sabiendo que tiene herramientas para buscar un combate con menor riesgo. La victoria acerca al ruso hacia el campeonato, quien debe esperar por el ganador de Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic.
My favorite to win the fight would be Curtis Blaydes, I had him as the most dangerous fighter at 265 pounds. He had shown a great evolution in striking and his wrestling is considered the best in the whole category. Therefore, it could be said that he is a more complete fighter, loaded with more alternatives when facing the fight and with a ground that very few can stop. I expected him to look for takedowns, come with a fight plan and that was the least there was in the fight.

With the power he has in his hands, he will never be an easy opponent to beat, just by landing a good punch he can win the fight. I didn't see him winning on the scorecards, I expected a powerful knockout in case of victory and that's what ended up happening.

Curtis Blaydes en toda su carrera, siempre se ha quedado corto al momento de dar el gran paso. Le sucedió en el pasado contra Francis Ngannou, perdió por nocaut 2 veces, cuando estaba a las puertas de pelear por el título. Luego, más adelante, cuando venía con una gran racha de victorias, volvió a perder contra Derrick Lewis, nuevamente por la vía del nocaut, teniendo grandes posibilidades de obtener una oportunidad titular. Los rusos son buenos en cardio, es probable que ese también aunque no pienso que pueda durar más de un tercer round competitivamente, es un luchador que da todo lo que tiene en el primero, muchas combinaciones de boxeo y golpes de poder que pueden noquear a cualquiera. Curtis fue a demostrar no sé que y lo mandaron a la lona y a su casa.
Quisiera verlo, se va como un toro desbocado en el primero, no sé si pueda hacer eso mientras pase el tiempo. Aunque tiene una pegada de locos, conecta y tumba a cualquiera. Curtis Blaydes, sinceramente se líquido solito, se lanzó al matadero.
Hermano como siempre comparte unas muy buenas reseñas de este deporte que tal vez muchos no conocen muy bien como es mi caso. Cada vez conociendo más de la UFC y de sus peleadores.
