Para mi sorpresa, Justin Gaethje, comenzó la pelea muy paciente, estuvo tranquilo, llego con un plan de combate y no fue directamente hacia los intercambios sin sentido. Por parte de Rafael Fiziev, un poco de lo mismo, nunca se precipitó, no quería cometer un error, porque entiende que su rival posee poder, lo cual, empezábamos a ver un combate estratégico y eso le añadía más interés a la pelea. Se podía ver que en cualquier momento habría gran acción, pero sería más técnica de lo pensado, no íbamos a ver volados a lo loco.
En el momento que Rafael Fiziev empezó a lanzar golpes, nos dimos cuenta de que este hombre es Quicksilver o quizás Flash, llego con una velocidad en las manos impresionante, creo que Justin Gaethje se asombró, lo agarro desprevenido, porque le costó conseguir la distancia en ese primer asalto, cuando quería entrar, Rafael Fiziev lo atrapaba con buena combinación de golpes que impactaba con malas intensiones. Justin Gaethje no se vio nada cómodo, primer asalto que fue hacia Fiziev, aunque Gaethje conecto unas derechas con gran poder.
El segundo asalto fue importante, Justin Gaethje estuvo esperando y empezó a lanzar golpes con increíble precisión. Rafael Fiziev es un peleador que no sabe ir hacia atrás, siempre tiene que ir hacia adelante a meter presión y cuando entraba en la guardia lo estaban recibiendo con importantes golpes de poder. Aquí hubo más intercambio, fue un segundo round emocionante, realmente entretenido, pero los mejores golpes los conecta Gaethje y cierra de mejor manera para llevar ese asalto tranquilamente.

Llegamos al tercer asalto con la pelea empatada, teníamos un round para cada uno, venía el momento decisivo, quien consiguiera mantener el ritmo, terminaría ganando este combate que para este momento, ya tenía todas las credenciales para ser pelea de la noche, hubo una intensidad de principio a fin muy alta, nunca dejaron de buscarse, ninguno de los 2 quiso retroceder, Justin Gaethje se lanzaba hacia adelante y Rafael Fiziev lo acompañaba en esa tónica.

Gran pelea, nos regalaron una excelente performance, no hubo desperdicio alguno, toda la batalla fue entretenida y levanto de sus asientos al público de Londres que estaba totalmente satisfecho con la pelea coestelar de la noche. Mi predicción estuvo con Rafael Fiziev, lo veía como la nueva generación, la sangre nueva que iba a ir desplazando a un veterano como Gaethje, pero observamos que la experiencia es pieza vital en cualquier deporte y esa fue la diferencia que hubo en este combate.
Justin al final comento que le queda poco tiempo, quizás 1 año más, dijo que lo disfruten porque dentro de poco se va a retirar, lo cual está perfecto, lleva demasiadas guerras, ha recibido muchísimo castigo y este deporte con el tiempo no perdona, hay que cuidarse la salud. Me gustaría verlo contra Dustin Poirier, tendríamos la segunda pelea entre ambos, la primera es histórica, los 2 vienen de ganar en sus últimas presentaciones, permanecen en el top 5 de la división, regalarnos esa batalla sería increíble por parte de la UFC.
Sobre Rafael Fiziev, mencionar que demostró que es un top de las 155 libras, este hombre tiene herramientas para conseguir cosas importantes, son 30 años, aún tiene tiempo, pero debe mejorar un poco el cardio, quizás utilizar un poco más su lucha y creo que de esa manera no lo detiene nadie. La velocidad es impresionante, posee un striking bonito, muy hermoso, extremadamente técnico y no puedo esperar para volver a verlo en otro combate muy pronto. Nuevamente, la "leyenda" se impone ante el joven retador.

Justin está muy vigente todavía, no lo veía perdiendo de ninguna manera, sin embargo tuvo sus momentos difíciles en el combate, pero es tal cual escribes en el post, la experiencia y su cardio bestial hicieron la diferencia.
Quede sorprendido con el cardio, pensé que seria al revés y fue Fiziev quien se fundió, si esta pelea seguía Gaethje lo destruye, menos mal no fue a 5 round. Esta mas que vigente mi bro.
