Poco se hablado de este gran evento, donde van haber dos peleas muy interesantes, las cuales serán las estelares, tenemos al local Ciryl Gane vs Tai Tuivasa y también la pelea entre Robert Whittaker vs Marvin Vettori. Cada combate ofrece diferentes situaciones, los estilos aquí serán un factor a tomar en cuenta y no esta nada sencillo predecir un ganador. Estamos hablando de poder, hombre que no deja terminar absolutamente nada, sin miedo a ir al frente y confiando siempre en su enorme pegada. Hace poco dijo unas declaraciones interesantes, comentando que viene a dar espectáculo, jamás tiene miedo de perder por KO, por ello el busca darlo y le encanta intercambiar golpes contra cualquier peleador. Para la categoría de peso pesado, esto es lo que busca el fanático, presenciar un golpe devastador y Tai Tuivasa es el hombre que puede darlo en cualquier momento del combate.
Me encanta este peleador, realmente es todo un show verlo arriba del octágono, pero solo tiene un arma en su repertorio, la cual se basa en su pegada y contra un peleador que tiene tanta movilidad, va ser complicado que pueda conseguirlo y mucho mas por la gran distancia que puede ganar Ciryl Gane a través de su altura. Lo positivo se encuentra en su mandíbula, pudo soportar la pegada de Derrick Lewis, peleador con mas KO en la historia de la UFC y por eso no tendrá problemas de aguantar golpes de Ciryl Gane. La única manera que lo veo ganando, seria con un KO, por una decisión me parece imposible y va tener que asumir muchos riesgos.
La pelea va ser a striking, ninguno de los dos va querer ir al piso, no tienen habilidad en esa zona y entre los dos el mejor striking lo tiene Ciryl Gane. Tai Tuivasa debe comprender que hay desventaja, si no consigue un KO, probablemente vaya perder esta pelea y seria un freno a su espectacular ascenso. No hay mucho que buscar, simplemente ir al frente, sabiendo que va recibir muchos golpes, pero buscando la oportunidad de conectar su mano fuerte y terminar todo por la vía del KO KO. Se habla mucho del striking de Robert Whittaker, lo colocan como el mejor que hay en el peso medio, hombre que solo ha perdido contra Adesanya en esta división y que tiene mucho tiempo en el puesto número 1 del ranking. La mayoría de sus victorias son por decisión, no hay poder en sus manos, pero si existe una gran técnica, puede conectar golpes en todas partes y de cualquier manera. Debería buscar el combate de pie, no permitir que lo lleven al suelo, ejecutar una gran defensa contra derribos y así lograra tener mas oportunidades de ganar frente a Vettori.
Contra Adesanya fue muy tímido, no se atrevió a ir hacia el frente, jamás asumió riesgo y termino perdiendo en una decisión ajustada. Esa versión no puede aparecer mañana, talento hay de sobra en sus habilidades y para mi es mucho mejor peleador que su contrincante. Parte como favorito, aunque no por mucho, quizás sea la pelea mas cerrada de la noche y no tengo dudas que se va definir por los jueces. El cardio no será un problema, siempre viene muy bien preparado y un arranque fuerte será fundamental para llevarse la victoria.
Los últimos combates que ha disputado, venían siendo a 5 asaltos, esta vez serán 3 rounds, no hay mucho tiempo que perder, cualquier ventaja puede ser perjudicial, porque Vettori tiene gran grappling y en cualquier momento del combate puede llevarlo al piso. Salir con mucho ímpetu, mostrarle a los jueces quien domina en la jaula, quien ejerce presión, para mi eso es crucial, ya que tiene mejor striking y seguramente va ser quien termine conectando mas golpes en todo el combate. Colocando números en la mesa, doy un 60% de probabilidades para Whittaker de ganar frente a Vettori, no va estar fácil.

De los peleadores mas subestimados del UFC, quizás porque no vende mucho, es una persona muy respetuosa y no anda buscando ruido en las redes sociales. Los fanáticos no le dan el crédito que merece, pero actualmente se encuentra top 3 del peso mediano, viene de ganarle a Paulo Costa que pesaba 10 kilos mas y en mi opinión hizo un buen papel contra el campeón Adesanya en su derrota. A medida que pasan sus combates, vemos evolución en Marvin Vettori, antes se concentraba solo en derribos, ahora busca intercambiar y confía mucho mas en su boxeo.
Contra el brasileño se planteo a cambiar golpes, jamás busco llevarlo al suelo, pero es entendible, Paulo Costa no tiene gran striking y estaba muy pesado para derribarlo. Ahora contra Whittaker todo es diferente, no puede ser la misma estrategia, aquí si debe buscar mucho el derribo, tratar de dominarlo en el suelo y con su lucha golpear desde abajo. Vettori es un hombre que rebota mucho, lo veo llegando con mas volumen que su rival, lo cual será importante si quiere ejecutar derribos y no colocarse tanto en intercambios.
Tiene habilidad para boxear un poco, pero Whittaker ostenta mejor striking, no hay razón para quedarse en eso durante todo el combate, hay que moverse constantemente y realizar combinaciones que le ofrezcan una oportunidad de derribo. Golpear arriba con un jab y luego rápidamente ir abajo para llevarlo al suelo, no seria un mal plan, considero que hay debe ganar la pelea, abajo Marvin Vettori es sumamente superior y puede ganar mucho tiempo de control que luego le sume puntos. Pienso que ganara Whittaker, pero me voy con la "sorpresa", Marvin Vettori gana este combate y se posiciona en el puesto número del ranking de peso mediano.

De verdad que han hablado poco de este evento, imagínate, ni siquiera sabía que Whittaker pelearia, estoy tan acostumbrado en verlo peleando en la pelea principal de la noche que me enfoque solo en Gane y Tuivasa, pero verlo contra Vettori de seguro será un buen combate.
En cuanto a la pelea principal, no tengo pronósticos, Gane es súper técnico pero una mano de Tuivasa acaba con todo, será una buena pelea. Si Tuivasa gana se enlista a pelea de título, aunque no se contra quién jaja
Demasiado poco Bro, no entiendo porque, son peleadores élites, quizás por Chimaev que pelea la otra semana y si es raro ver a Whittaker cómo coestelar.
Jeje yo pienso exactamente lo mismo, tan solo una derecha que conecte, hay se va acabar todo, acabo de ver las tarjetas de apuestas y está Gane -550, la verdad no creo que la diferencia sea tanto, será bueno ver ese combate, puede pasar cualquier cosa.

Lo que pasa es que Gane es mucho más tecnico y puede mantener la pelea distancia, quizás por eso la diferencia en las apuestas, Tuivasa debe presionar y no dejar espacio porque así no va a poder hacer nada.
Si es que logrando imponer su estilo, seguramente gane "fácil", pero no se siempre habrá un momento peligroso y Tuivasa hay puede aprovechar.
