BE HEARD | FAVOURITE SPORTS TALK QUOTES #2 with some real LOL moments in there

G'day tribe I hope you're all doing well today! A welcome to you all to the second edition of my favourite Sports Talk Social quotes. Through my engagement and curation of posts I have collected my favourite quotes from the tribe that I have come across for the week.

Spencer Prior fell out with Cardiff City fans because he didn't have sex with a sheep

LOL! Seriously. I love this one from @talesfrmthecrypt in his post Football's Greatest Urban Legends which he wrote for the Legends of Sport challenge that tribe favourite @cryptoandcoffee had set for us.

There was a load of creativity from across the tribe and this one was a crack up. Basically Spencer Prior had a clause in his contract about "a physical liaison" with sheep, with the Englishman having to prove himself to Welsh fans. Yep, you've got to read the post now if you haven't already.

I do sports and toke all the time, it's totally alright. I am super biased haha

This was @edprivat being super honest in my post Do NFL Players Smoke Weed?. If I could be equally honest, I'm jealous. Just how life should be lived!

You know us Poms like a bit of sarcasm. It's to be expected when you come from a country that is cold and dark half the year + has a shit cricket team 😀.

@talesfrmthecrypt has an English sense of humour, and I get it because us Aussie's are a subject of the motherland. He was actually responding to BE HEAR #1. This blokes gonna make it on here every week at this rate..

No matter what side of the vaccine spectrum one is on, one thing I believe is that individuals will always make decisions that they feel is best for them.

@empress-eremmy wrote this quote in his post Novak Djokovic: Of Sports and Politics and is probably my favourite quote for the week. It's extremely relevant in the current climate we're in and also hits me on a personal level. I myself support freedom of choice and will do what I feel is best for me, and I believe everyone should have the right to do what they feel is best for them.

Traditionally they say, don't mix politics and sports and this only supports that ideology. Wise words of @empress-eremmy, "focusing on a controversial issue could come at the expense of the sport itself"

To be honest, even the majority of Irish people are the same at this stage, mainly due to his antics outside the octagon, such as punching elderly men full force in the face... Classy, eh...

I lol'd at this beauty from @ablaze. This was in response to a post from @sports.guy55 which you can check here. I won't put the name of the post and reveal who he's talking about, so you can guess who he's trying to reference.

"Why is Rachel Balkovec promoted by the New York Yankees to the manager of the Low A Tampa Tarpons making her the first woman to skipper a team affiliated with Major League Baseball?"

Did anybody else read that as tampons? @sadfish wrote an excellent article which promoted thought and discussion about gender equality in sport which is of considerable importance I believe. I must have sped read the title though and saw 'woman', 'low' and 'Tampa Tarpons' and somehow read it as tampon initially.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
