The Best MLS Players of All Time (Part 3)

G'day tribe. In the past couple days I've posted about the best MLS players of all time counting down from #10 to #4. David Beckham started the list and we had superstars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Villa and Robbie Keane on the list.

Check out PART ONE and PART TWO. Here are the final three best MLS players of all time.

3. Sebastian Giovinco

Former Juventus player Sebastian Giovinco is one of the best MLS players of all time after completely turning around the Toronto FC franchise. Despite his 5-foot-4 height, he was quick, technically gifted an excellent dribber and one of the best free kick takers in MLS history. He won the 2015 MVP and Golden Boot Awards. Giovinco also guided Toronto to their first ever MLS Cup in 2017 and finished his MLS career with 68 goals from 114 games.

2. Chris Wondolowski

Chris Wondolowski is the greatest scorer in MLS history with 171 goals in 413 MLS appearances with most of his career at San Jose Earthquakes. Although not as glamorous as the others on the list of best MLS players of all time, Wondolowski was consistent goal poacher. He finished his career with two MLS Cups, two MLS Golden Boots and was the 2012 MVP.

1. Landon Donovan

Most will agree that Landon Donovan is the greatest MLS player of all time. The thirteen-time MLS All Star finished his career with 147 goals and 136 assists in 340 MLS games. A midfield maestro, he remained extremely productive throughout his entire career and continued to develop his game as he got older.

Donovan holds the record for most individual MLS Cups with six - two with San Jose Earthquakes and four with LA Galaxy. Donovan made such an impact, the league renamed the annual MVP award the “Landon Donovan MVP Award”, proof that he is the greatest MLS player of all time.
