The Best NBA Players Right Now (Part 3)

Who do you think the best 3 players in the NBA are right now? Well take a look at part one and part two of the series which you can find out here.

Stephen Curry featured in the first part as the 8th best. Devin Booker also featured and came in at 4th. Let's take a look at the top three and the final part of the

3. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Around the rim and in the paint there hasn't been a player more dominant than Giannis Antetokounmpo since Shaquille O’Neal. Giannis is video game-like overpowered and is one of the best scorers in the league. He's also powerful at rebounding and has exceptionally sharp vision. The 2019 and 2020 MVP is one of only three players to win two MVP awards before turning 26.

Giannis' game keeps improving as he enters into his prime. His drives per game is at an all time high, and he's drawing an increase in fouls because he's simply unstoppable. Giannis is also proving versatile after playing 39% of the 2021-22 season at center.

2. Joel Embiid

Embiid became the first big man to average more than 30 points in a season since Moses Malone did it in 1982. He's impossible to stop offensively as he's the biggest, tallest and strongest player in almost any situation, and he's able to score from anywhere on the court.

Such is Embiid's dominance, Philadelphia would be one of the worst teams in the league both offensively and defensively if he wasn't on the court. Embiid is already one of the best NBA players right now and it's frightening that he continues to expand his game. He continues to be the offensive quarterback for the 76ers and no doubt he'll become an MVP if he keeps it up.

Joel Embiid has 11 games with at least 40 points and 10 rebounds this season.

The only players with more in a season since the merger are Russell Westbrook (12 in 2016-17) and Moses Malone (12 in 1981-82). Both won MVP that season. pic.twitter.com/OQ1KDVEc5k — ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) April 4, 2022

1. Nikola Jokic

How much worse are the Denver Nuggets on the court with a lack of healthy shot-creating guards and wings? They're not. They're an even better team because they've got MVP Nikola Jokic who became the 13th player in NBA history to win back-to-back MVP awards.

The unassuming center doesn't appear to be athletic. But not only is he one of the top scorers in the league, he's one of the best passing big men of all time, which is what sets him apart from Embiid and the rest. Jokic is the complete offensive package with remarkable 3-point consistency for someone his size. Without Jokic, the Nuggets go from being the best team in the league to the worst. He's about to hit his prime too.

Scary.

I saw some clips of the joker! Amazing player :) Really liked him in those clips.

Very cool idea once again. I am still waiting on more World Cup posts, but I guess they will come closer to the action :D
