Barely 24 hours to the start of the 2023/24 season of the English Premier League (EPL), many analysis are up in the air as per the expectations on the teams and players this new season. The first match of the season would be between Burnley and the 2022/23 champions - Manchester City.

According to former Manchester United captain Gary Neville, Arsenal FC would win title of the 2023/24 league while Man City will finish second. Neville stated this while speaking on The Overlap. He buttressed that his prediction leans on Mikel Arteta's effort in the transfer market towards building a better team.

“I don’t think Arsenal could have done any more to close the gap. They’ve shown real intent with the signings they’ve made. “My concern is they are the only team that I think could actually win the league. With the three signings they’ve made they’re going to be better. “I am going to go Arsenal to win the league, City second. If I was putting my life on it I’d put City, but I’m just going to go Arsenal,” Neville said. source

On his part, former England international, Rio Ferdinand has named two clubs that he thinks would challenge Man City for title, including Manchester United and Arsenal. According to Ferdinand_, Arsenal and Man United will go close to Man City, but Pep Guardiola’s side will still clinch the Premier League title.

“Manchester United and Arsenal, two challengers. If anyone is going to get close to them [Man City], it will be those two,” Ferdinand told TNT Sports. “I still think there is a difference between Manchester United and Manchester City: on the pitch and off the pitch.
