The most prominent issue with Maryland’s offense revealed itself throughout last season, sometimes in key moments, other times lingering through entire games: The Terrapins lacked a quarterback who could serve as a reliable passing threat to complement a proven running game.

But in the 2019 season opener last Saturday, Maryland showcased a proficient passing game under Coach Michael Locksley, albeit against Howard of the Football Championship Subdivision.
