写真は上が雑草の可憐な花、下はクリニックが開くのを待つ間に飲食したルイボスミントティーと小さなクッキーです。

10月最後の日は精神科の通院日でした。紅葉は見頃にはまだ早いものの、街なかでは修学旅行生や、大きなスーツケースを持った外国人観光客の列でごった返していました。

バスは早く着いたのでクリニックから徒歩5分のところにあるカフェでひと息ついてからクリニックに行きました。

まずは診察でした。片付けが予定通りに行かなかったこと、来年1月27日までに現在の家を退去したければならないこと。絵を処分することを考えるだけで憂鬱になることを言いました。そしたら先生は「絵を売るのがいやなの？」って聞くから私は「違います、絵を捨てるのが嫌なんです」と言いました。

そしてケースワークがありました。引っ越しの計画を立てました。まず物件を探さなきゃということで場所希望とか、収入(と言っても障害年金と貯金ですが)とかを色々聞かれました。

帰りのバスは満員で、道も混雑していました。観光シーズンなのだなあ、と改めて思いました。

The last day of October was a psychiatry clinic day. Although it was still too early for the autumn leaves to be at their best, the streets were crowded with students on school excursions and lines of foreign tourists with large suitcases.

The bus arrived early, so I took a break at a café a five-minute walk from the clinic before going to the clinic.

The first thing I did was to see the doctor. The cleanup did not go as planned, and I have to move out of my current house by January 27 next year. I told the doctor that I was depressed just thinking about getting rid of the paintings. Then the doctor asked, "Do you hate the idea of selling the paintings?" I said, "No, I don't want to throw away the paintings.

Then there was casework. We made plans to move. First, I had to find a place to live, so they asked me a lot of questions about my location preferences and my income (although it was my disability pension and savings).

The bus on the way back was packed and the streets were crowded. I thought again that it was the tourist season.
