My Actifit Report Card: March 15 2024

Today, I went looking for a gallery. All of the photos are from the window of the Kyoto City bus. I had already held art events such as Design Festa and artDive, but I still wanted to hold a solo exhibition. But I had to balance it with cleaning. So I decided to have a solo show only once in November and went to visit a gallery with a relatively affordable rental fee.

The location was accessible by a single 203 city bus, but it took about 45 minutes to get there. It is close to Heian Shrine and other places.
The second floor is a small library of art books, and the gallery is on the third floor. A woman at the reception greeted us and the gallery was a beautiful gallery with white walls. I brought a file that looked like a collection of works and showed it to her, and she said it was interesting. I was told that there is an artist-in-residence program nearby and that foreign artists often exhibit there. I also heard that other students also hold exhibitions, so I thought it was quite a lively place.

I immediately applied in November. After paying the deposit, the decision was made.
I rode the bus most of the time, but I did some shopping today, so I was able to walk more than usual.

今日は、ギャラリーを探しに行きました。写真は、すべて京都市バスの車窓からの景色ですが。デザインフェスタやartDiveといったアートのイベントは押さえたのですが、やっぱり個展をやりたいなと思ったのです。しかし掃除と両立しなければいけません。そこで11月に1回だけに個展をすることにして、比較的使用料が手ごろな価格のギャラリーの見学に行きました。

場所は市バスの203系統1本で行けるところでしたが、45分くらいかかりました。平安神宮などが近いところです。
2Fが美術の本の小さな図書館になっていて、3Fにギャラリーがありました。受付の女性が出迎えてくれて、ギャラリーは白い壁のきれいなギャラリーでした。一応作品集のようなファイルを持ってきて見せたら、面白いと言ってくれました。ここは近くにアーティストインレジデンスのような場があって、外国人アーティストもよく展示をするそうです。ほか学生も展覧会をするということで、なかなか活気があるのがいいなと思いました。

早速11月に申込をしました。予約金を支払ったら決定です。
ほとんどバスに乗っていたのですが、今日は買い物などもしたのでいつもよりたくさん歩けました。
