My Actifit Report Card: April 5 2024

Today I went to distribute DMs for the Design Festa and enjoyed the city of Kyoto while I was there. There were many tourists. All the photos were taken in Kyoto. There was still some space between people and cars, but I almost collided with a car. Watch out, watch out.

Recently, I have been sending out direct mail to galleries, etc. for private exhibitions, but this time, I took the bus and walked around the city for exercise. Even so, I was only able to distribute to four locations. That is not very efficient.

Someiyoshino cherry trees were in full bloom and weeping cherry trees were just beginning to fall. The best time to see the cherry blossoms will probably be tomorrow. Tomorrow will be sunny again. We will be able to enjoy them somehow.

Here is a brief explanation of the photos. Rokkakudo is officially called Tingho-ji Temple, and is called Rokkakudo because the main hall is hexagonal. It is a tourist attraction. It is also the birthplace of ikebana.

The fashionable boutique is called "Undercover.

The Kyoto Culture Museum is a museum and art museum whose building is an important cultural property. It is my favorite building.

The 1928 Building, formerly the Mainichi Newspaper Company, is now a gallery and store building.

I am tired from walking today.

今日はデザインフェスタのDMを配りに行って、ついでに京都の街なかを満喫してきました。観光客もいっぱいいました。写真はみな京都市内で撮ったものです。まだ多少人と人、人と車の間にゆとりがありましたが、ちょっと車と接触しそうになったりもしました。危ない危ない。

最近は個展などのDMは、時間がないこともあってギャラリーなどに郵送していましたが、今回は運動を兼ねてバスと徒歩で配って回りました。それでも４か所にしか配れませんでした。あまり効率は良くないですね。

桜はソメイヨシノは満開、枝垂桜は散り初めといったところでした。もう、見頃は明日まででしょうね。明日はまた晴れますから。なんとか楽しめるでしょう。

写真の簡単な説明をします。六角堂は正式名を頂法寺といい、本堂が六角形をしているから六角堂というそうです。観光名所と言っていいでしょう。いけばな発祥の地でもあります。

おしゃれなブティックはUNDERCOVERというブランドの店です。

京都文化博物館は建物が重要文化財の博物館・美術館です。私の好きな建造物です。

1928ビルは元は毎日新聞社だったビルを生かしてギャラリーや店舗が入っているビルです。

今日はよく歩いて疲れました。
