We Turn Our Attention To Club Football

The 2022 World Cup tournament played half way through the season meant that all men club football be halted for about a month or more. The only club football that still went ahead as scheduled were friendly games.

Qatar 2022 has given us so much excitement in such a short time but now we must say ”till next time” and turn our attention back to club football. For some fans, they’re eager to see their team play again while some of us not so much. Who wants to see their team continue losing?😅

Arsenal fans especially can’t wait for their club to return since they were flying high before the break and sit on top of the league.

Barcelona and Real Madrid fans are eager as well for the league to restart so they cans see their teams chase each other for the title. Barca are currently top by a 2 point difference.

Undoubtedly Napoli fans will be more eager than the rest since they are comfortably on top of the league with 41 points. Milan are second with 33 points.

The English Premier League will not continue till after Christmas on the 26th of December where Tottenham play away at Brentford, Everton host Wolves at Goodison Park, Crystal Palace host Fulham, Brighton play away at Southampton, Leceister host Newcastle United, Aston Villa play Liverpool at Villa Park and of course league leaders host West Ham United at the Emirates.

Although the EPL will resume on the 26th, other English football has already resumed. On Tuesday the 20th, **the fourth round of the Carabao Cup or the league cup **continued with Leicester City playing away at Milton Keynes Dons and going home with a 3-0 victory.

Newcastle hosted Bournemouth and the game ended 1-0 in favor of Newcastle. Southampton and Wolves were the other 2 sides to progress into the next stage of the league cup.

Manchester United hosted Burnley yesterday the 21st and were able to win 2-0. Brighton surprisingly lost to Charlton Athletic on penalties while Nottingham forest beat Blackburn 4-1.

The league cup continues today with Manchester City hosting Liverpool at the Etihad.

La Liga unlike the EPL will resume in the 29th. The first game will be Girona FC vs Roy Vallercano at the Estadi Montilivi. Athletic Cup will then play away at Real Betis and then Athletico Madrid end the day by facing Elche FC.

The French league resumes on the 28th where PSG host RC Strasbourg. Lyon play away at Stade Brestois 29, Monaco face Auxerre, Angers face AC Ajaccio and Troyes host Nantes.

The Seria A surprisingly resumes next year on the January 4th 2023. More time for Seria A fans to sleep and enjoy other leagues😅. When Seria A does return, all 20 teams will play on the same day.

The banter of our rival clubs continues and I must admit I have missed that a lot😅. My team isn’t doing well at the moment but when there’s a chance to banter I can’t pass the opportunity up.

I hope everyone saved their banter and are eager for club football to continue like me.

Hopefully our clubs end the year on a high and we enter 2023 with smiles🤞and hopefully Arsenal end 2022 with a loss just because their fans have become too noisy😂.
