This transfer window has been quite interesting with many big clubs looking to make a "statement signing" by bringing in some big names to the club. Some of these clubs have had a pretty good season so far and are simply not going to take a chance by falling through the cracks.

Manchester City has done some really good business in the past which is part of the reason they are very successful, winning 4 premier leagues in the past 5 years. And although most of their signings have not been quiet spot on, players have are normally giving enough period to adjust to the new system. This to me is why many players are leaning towards the Man City move nowadays.

Coming to Kalvin Phillips, he has been quite remarkable both for his club and country. As a holding midfielder, he helps both in attack and defense for his side. His desire to get the ball back after possession loss is quite extraordinary and his passion to keep the ball moving is quite spectacular as well. The actual worry people seem to have at the moment is that how does this player fit into the world class Man City side?

I for one think that this was a very smart decision by him because with the 5 sub rule starting next season, he is likely to see many game times for his team. Also, Man City is going to be challenging for many titles including the FA Cup, the Carabao, Premier League and the Champions league title. And obviously Rodri cannot play every single match which is why he will get adequate play time for his first season.

For quite some time now, I believe Man City has been the best team in the England in most aspects. And this deal goes to further prove it once again. For a player of this quality, we should be talking about somewhere close to 80 million Pounds but City re getting him for £45 million. This is quite a steal in my book.

Usually England players have a higher price tag than other players of the same quality and this has been seen with Harry Maguire and Declan rice who is valued over £100 million. That is why I believe Kalvin's deal was very cheap for a player of his caliber.

I am looking forward to every bit of his season and hope he helps City along with other players such as Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and Grealish to finally land Man City the holy grail, which is the Champions league.

Thank you.

It was definitely not shocking...the man has played and known his quality even in the National team...the kind of dirty work player Pep would love to have in his team... Great signing

It was a spectacular signing indeed. Most people are of the view that he may not be getting enough play time in this City team but I think he made the right decision. Only time will tell.

Pep and his soldiers. We should be scared of this new Premier League season because Guardiola and his men might blow us away again.
