**Mini Olympics - Back to memory lane**
Till the time we were to disperse, most people were astonished at how the Unity Family came out first 🥇 but after a close look at the score board, their doubts were cleared.
Saturday,2nd of March,2024 was an outstanding day in the school I work with. A mini Olympics was held for the pupils to show their dexterity in sport activities. The theme for the event was LEAP- Learning Experiencing Athletic Progress.
The entire school community was divided into various families and colours:
~HONOUR FAMILY-Green colour
~ROYAL FAMILY- Red colour
~NOBLE FAMILY -Yellow Colour
~UNITY FAMILY- blue colour
There were indoor games by parents to warm their wards up for the event. The pupils were trained by their family Governors and Governesses on time before they ( the pupils) started the in-school competitions such as high jump,long jump et cetera.
On the day of the event, the respective families came out in their family colours. It was so beautiful. I was a member of the Royal family ( the red colour family )
I had to take pictures immediately when I entered the event ground because I knew I would not have time afterwards or my face would look so stressed out if I wait to snap later 😂
I took photos with other teachers in my family too 😀😊
We started arranging things that were meant to be arranged. Most parents were already on their seats getting their eyes ready to see their children make them proud in their respective families. Some of these parents were also patrons and matrons in the different families.
When everything was set, the event was to kick-start with the pupils playing football ⚽. Selected members of two families were merged together. The proprietress of the school did the kick-off and started the football.
The football ended with the score of 2:0
The Royal and Noble family won against the Unity and Honor family.
Yes! My family won the football match 👏
What followed next was the match past. This was done by all the families in their beautiful arrays
There were other activities done to make the event enjoyable.
The most interesting thing was how pupils in the various families were cheering their representatives in the different activities.
The parents did same.
The parents and teachers were not exempted from the event. The parents ran the 100 meters race and their wards couldn't help but cheer them up.
~The teachers also ran the 100 meters race. I took the first 🥇 position in the female teachers' race Yes! 😊☺️
It took me back to memory lane and I reminisced my days in track and Field event all through my Nursery to high school days.
I used to be so good that I turned our to be the games perfect for girls
That is me in the front ✌️😂.
By the end of the event, Unity family came out first, Royal family came second and Noble family came third.
That was how I spent my weekend 😁
