La semana comenzó bien temprano, agradeciendo la oportunidad y estar listo para afrontar un nuevo momento. Había varias cosas en la lista, entre estas, algunas visitas a colegios en los alrededores y también una visita social que tenía programada desde hace varios días. Así que aproveché de colocarme ropa fresca y ligera para salir a dar esta caminata que en principio amenazaba con ser de largo alcance.

The week started early, grateful for the opportunity and ready to face a new moment. There were several things on the list, among these, some visits to schools in the surrounding area and also a social visit that I had scheduled for several days. So I took the opportunity to put on fresh and light clothes to go out for this walk that in principle threatened to be long range.

Salí por los lados del mirador, aprovechando que el cielo estaba nublado, Caminé hacia la casa de una amiga para felicitarla en su cumpleaños número 32, fui con un detalle pequeño para no llegar con las manos vacías. Se sorprendió bastante, conversamos un rato, poniendo al día algunos asuntos. No estuve mucho tiempo allí, lo mejor estaba por venir.

I walked to a friend's house to congratulate her on her 32nd birthday, I went with a small detail so as not to arrive empty-handed. She was quite surprised, we chatted for a while, catching up on some business. I wasn't there long, the best was yet to come.

El primer colegio que visitó fue el "José Maria Dominguez", la intención era hacerles llegar una invitación formal para asistir a un encuentro deportivo de final de año. Finalmente, estamos cerrando el año escolar y generalmente en esta fecha se estila realizar encuentros entre colegios, bien sea para que compartan los estudiantes o bien sea los docentes.

The first school that visited was “José Maria Dominguez”, the intention was to send them a formal invitation to attend a sports meeting at the end of the year. Finally, we are closing the school year and generally on this date it is customary to hold meetings between schools, either for students or teachers to share.

Seguí caminando sobre las calles de Barquisimeto, no tenía una ruta específica, solo caminaba con el instinto, si suponía que por alguna calle el camino era más corto o mejor por cualquier motivo, entonces tomaba ese camino.

I kept walking on the streets of Barquisimeto, I did not have a specific route, I just walked with instinct, if I guessed that by any street the way was shorter or better for any reason, then I took that way.

Disfruté de la faena, tenía mucho tiempo que no salía temprano y menos a caminar. En medio de las tareas revisé mi contador de actifit y pude notar que casi alcanzaba los 4K pasos, por tanto, sentí un momento de satisfacción, puesto que realmente requería un poco más de actividad física. Creo que no es suficiente solo salir los fines de semana por un partido de fútbol o cualquier otro deporte, definitivamente se requiere poner un poco más de disciplina diaria para sumar más movimientos, más salud.

I enjoyed the chore, it had been a long time since I had gone out early and less to walk. In the middle of the chores I checked my actifit counter and I could notice that I almost reached 4K steps, therefore, I felt a moment of satisfaction, since I really required a little more physical activity. I believe that it is not enough just to go out on the weekends for a soccer game or any other sport, it is definitely required to put a little more daily discipline to add more movements, more health.

Por último, me tocaba ir a resolver algunos acuerdos personales con una profesora, sin embargo, las nubes sorprendieron la mañana colocándose en posición de lluvia en poco menos de 15 minutos. Hasta comenzó una llovizna que parecía que era inminente la tempestad, así que eso decreto el final de la caminata. Tome el transporte a casa, asintiendo y haciendo alusión al dicho popular, "Mañana es otro día".

Finally, I had to go to resolve some personal arrangements with a teacher, however, the clouds surprised the morning by moving into a rainy position in a little less than 15 minutes. It even began to drizzle and looked like a storm was imminent, so that decreed the end of the walk. I took the shuttle home, nodding and alluding to the popular saying, “Tomorrow is another day”.

Me hizo bastante bien la caminata, me dejó bastante fuerte, enfocado y decidido. Y pues, de manera justa aproveché para documentar lo ocurrido y la cantidad de pasos alcanzada hasta las 3:30 pm, justo en el momento en que redacto estas líneas para ustedes. Satisfecho por lo que va de hoy, 21 de julio de 2025. Todavía resta día, espero sacar el máximo provecho de estas horas, de este regalo, de esta oportunidad.

The walk did me a lot of good, it left me quite strong, focused and determined. And well, in a fair way I took the opportunity to document what happened and the amount of steps achieved until 3:30 pm, just at the time I write these lines for you. Satisfied for today, July 21, 2025. There are still days left, I hope to make the most of these hours, of this gift, of this opportunity.
