All Angles of Earning in MoonKarts - Racing, LB, Referral, Moon Domes, Etc

In MoonKarts, earning rewards isn’t random: it’s built on four pillars — Skill, Time, NFT Quality, and Stake in Governance Tokens. A great racer is not enough — one must also play often, equip high-end NFTs (karts, drivers, parts), and stake COLONY governance tokens to stay competitive. Miss any pillar, and your reward potential drops.

The Reward Pools & Token Distribution

MoonKarts receives a daily allotment of COLONY tokens via Arcade Colony, and divides it into specific pools:

• 40% → Orbitals Pool

• 25% → Ranking Pool

• 10% → COLONY tokens that drop on the track

• 5% → Referral Pool

• 20% → Seasonal Pool

Each pool supports a different type of player participation (racing, referrals, seasonal performance).

Earning Through Racing

Three main paths to collect COLONY in the heat of competition:

• Track drop & delivery — Grab COLONY tokens on the course and finish the race with them still in hand. Lose them mid-race, or don’t prevail, and you get nothing.

• Leaderboards (Skill / Ranking) — Your performance is tracked daily and seasonally. Better rank → bigger share of the Ranking Pool.

• Orbitals Collecting — Pick up Orbitals during the race; if you finish, they count toward a separate leaderboard. The amount you collect is boosted by the quality of your NFTs (kart, driver, etc.) to reward investment in stronger gear.

Referral Program & Constraints (Not Yet Live)

MoonKarts doesn’t leave community growth out of the mix: every player gets a unique invite link. When a referred new player spends at least $20 (not via COLONY or SCRIPT), that triggers referral points. The Referral Pool (5% share daily) is allocated proportionally to referrers’ points.

However, to prevent abuse, no account can claim more than 0.5% of the total Rewards Pool or 10% of the Referral Pool per day. Unused referral tokens roll over to the next day.

Seasonal Rewards & Moon Domes

Every ten days, the system snapshots leaderboard standings and distributes the Seasonal Pool (20% of daily token allocation over those days) based on consistent performance. This encourages steady, strategic play rather than one-off bursts.

Moon Domes (Future Feature)

Down the line, MoonKarts plans to let players own Moon Domes — racetracks of their own. Races that take place in your Dome will grant you 10% of tokens earned in those races, rewarding both race organizers and strategists.

All things considered, the MoonKarts economy blends active gameplay, long-term consistency, asset investment, and community growth into a cohesive reward engine.
